Default Crabtree & Evelyn: West Indian Lime - Wow!

After being thoroughly disappointed with TOBS Lemon & Lime - I grabbed a new tube of the C&E West Indian Lime and IT. IS. PERFECT. Wow.

Can't recommend this enough: it's a very masculine scent that is not only rather rich, but also very fresh. A rare combination in my mind. Doesn't smell like you've spilt an old fashion after-shave on your hands, or like a toilet bowl cleaner. $20 AUD isn't bad either (in store).

Lather is nice and creamy and only the size of a pea was needed for three passes with a DE.

If you want something that's very invigorating, yet mature, highly recommend! Great for the humid summers here in Hong Kong. Wonderful for evening as well. I'll be investing in the after shave balm soon too I believe.

if anyone lives in hk and wants my TOBS. Welcome to it.

I recently purchased the C&E Lime as well, and I love it. Love the fresh scent and it lathers great. I also have the Nomad cream and it is a top performer as well. The Lime aftershave balm feels wonderful on my face and the scent is one of my all time favorites. I will always have the lime cream and balm on hand. Highly recommended.

I must correct my last post. The aftershave balm I have is T&H Lime, not Crabtree and Evelyn. Anyway, love the lime cream!!

I've got the soap and its excellent as well. Although the triple milling makes you work for it! I've got the nomad and sandlewood creams and the lime and sienna soaps and they are all good, but if I had to choose one it would be the lime filled closely by the sienna.

Thanks allot, now i have to go get the lime. I have the Sienna soap and love it, i love the smell of lime and I'm sure the lather is just as good. Next time I'm in Nashville I'll have to pick some up

I tried it on the weekend. By the way, the stores will usually give you a litttle sample of each to try.

Good to hear some people have a good view of these soaps.

Personally however, I am not a fan of them. The scent of the West Indian Lime was great, the only one of them I actually liked but I found the performance of the cream to be sub par. It was very caustic to me and didnt give great protection. Its a bit like how I view Arko stick. It gives me an uncomfortable tingling when it starts to dry on the face so I wont be using those again.

I bought this one, but I don't much like it. The lather is a bit on the thin side for me, and it doesn't give great protection. The cologne to match smells great for a bout 10 minutes, but then disappears as quickly as it arrived.
Have heard good things about their Sienna soap, but I haven't tried it myself - been a bit put off by this one.

I would assume (haven't cross checked the ingredient lists) that all four soaps/creams would share the same vase recipe and only the fragrance would be changed between the four scents offered. It would stand to figure if my assumption is correct that if you find the lather from the Nomad disagreeable then the same would be true for all the flavours.

I actually like the cream and the soap. The C&E was some of my first soap/cream. Scents are nice and I didn't notice the lather was lacking.
