Well here it is. I have to say that I've never had a soap lather quite like this. The lather is so rich that it reminds me of Italian meringue. Creamy, dense, and with a luxurious sheen. Nicely slick. And the scent will blend with whatever aftershave you choose. I got a beautiful, smooth shave with it today. But then again I gave it all the help it might need by using one of my very best shavers - my Friodur 72. I finished with W.M. Neuman's Peppermint and Clove aftershave and some Em's balm. Expensive? Yes, but I fully expect that jar of soap to last a very long time. I'd say that both BB and MdC have a similar lather and may have to give the edge to MdC. I was a little stingy with the water as I usually am with soaps since its harder to correct when too much has been added. But once I got the lather dialed in, it was the best I've experienced to date. Impressive product. No regrets.

Thanked: 13Where do you live? I'm in Virginia and for two jars, it quotes 24 euros.
If a friend is in Paris, have him also pick you up some Eau D'Emeraude. Just my opinion, but maybe the best aftershave in this plane of existence. Made from a 500 year old recipe by Benedictine nuns. Lightly scented and very healing.

funny how a thread on Penhaligons Blemheim Boquet became a fanboy thread of MdC....i agree though....mdc rocks!
for those that dont like the $60 pricetag....get their travel jar for $39 and if you dont like it...i'm sure someone would buy it on the BST section.
