Edwin Jagger soaps
I'd like to pick up some Edwin Jagger soap with my next fendrihan order and was going to go with the limes and pomegranate scent but thought I'd ask about the sea buckthorn. What does sea buckthorn smell like?

I honestly don't know how to describe scents, but the words "modern and fresh" come to mind. It's an absolute pleasure I find. Not at all offensive. Not one person I have exposed it to has put up their nose at it.
As you can tell I really liked it. It's a real pleasure too if you have a collection of traditional scents in the den for those days when you just feel like something different but not radical. The balm is great too btw. Good luck.David

Has anyone tried the limes and pomegranate? The more I read about the sea buckthorn, the more interested I become. Some seem to describe it using words like mango, cantaloupe/melon, apple, peachy, of fruity in general.
I may end up getting both unless someone convinces me that the limes and pomegranate is really bad lol

+1 to sea buckthorne. I haven't had a chance to try the pomegrenade (but now I guess I'll have to) so I won't comment on it, but sea buckthorne has a nice fresh peach-y scent.

I haven't tried either of those, but I just wanted to say that the Edwin Jagger Sandlewood soap is my absolute favorite. Something to consider...

Sea Buckthorn is indeed the best smelling in the range, however it is no longer made under the Edwin Jagger brand, at least not here in the UK.
You can purchase it under the Muhle name; the scent and soap itself are however exactly the same as before.
It's a very fresh and fruity scent if I recall correctly.

The soap is a very clean smell. It has a bit of a juniper or berry type scent. It is one of my all time favorites. The aftershave balm has a more tree like and fruity smell. Slightly different but good none the less. I think of it as sticking your face in an Arbor Vitea or a Yew bush after a rain. However, I have heard they are discontinuing the Sea-buckthorn I am not sure if Muhle will continue or not (they are supposed to be the same).
