    Default Today's Workout Thread

We don't seem to have a workout thread, I wonder if it'll get any attention?

    My workout today was:

    Superset 1

35 pushups, touching nose to ground
    (2 minute rest)

    Bench Press, 40 x 10, 60 x 7, 7, 6
    Lat Pulldown 110 x 10, 180 x 7, 7, 6
    Leg Press 105 x 20, 125 x 10, 10, 10
    Leg curl 50 x 10, 70 x 6, 6, 6,

(two minute rest between supersets, no rest between exercises)

    Superset 2

(two minute rest between supersets, no rest between exercises)

Medium Grip Overhand Chin ups with 7.5 kilos hung from weight belt, 6, 6, 6
Dips with 7.5 kilos hung around waist, 8, 8, 8,

Close Grip under Hand Chin ups, 7.5 kilos, 10 reps, followed by another set of dips as above.

All done in 31 minutes at lunch time. Food was no breakfast, 1 scrambled egg and a small amount of salad 1 hour before workout, 1 scrambled egg and salad after workout. Tea is chicken and vegetables.

Tomorrow is a rest day, Saturday is two hours of indoor bouldering, including traversing and campussing.

No yeah I did consider if it might be viewed like that, but it could also be viewed as information and encouragement. But you're Mr Negative at present. I prescribe German beer, sunshine and lollypops...

Well I am only having some fun, besides we got the selfie the other day Mr cheesy grin. Now if you had come on saying "check out the freaking awesome workout I did you pussies, my pecs are sick" then maybe it'd be different. Nowt wrong with talking about your interests, it's just that some interests seem to be sacred and you are not allowed to comment negatively on them .
I am actually off for a walk shortly in the sun, but no beer or lollipops for me, I can't even have any muesli or pineapples that'd lift me spirits.

I was just about to say the routine doesn't seem to be working, but them remembered how fragile and undeveloped his ego was, and thought the better of it.

    Carl,
That's awesome, thanks for starting the thread sir. I haven't been able to hit the gym in a few days (water pump on the truck went bunk); school has tied me up as well, so I am going to post my last workout.
    Warm up:
Wide grip pull ups, 5, 5, 5, 5 ( I'm about 238lb right now so I'm not banging out reps on the these )
    Deadlifts: 195# x 10, 225# x 8, 305# x 6, 405# x3, 430# x1,
    T-bar rows: 225# x 12, 270# x 10, 315# x 3 reps x 2 sets
    nautilus pull overs: 80# x 10, 90# x 10, 100# x 10, 100# x 10

Thanks again carl for starting this thread. I really enjoyed reading your workout. Excellent job, and keep up the great workouts!
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

    Check a glue joint,drill some holes,more coffee,go pee.
Pack up some stuff to be shipped, more coffee, go pee.
Shower, shave, read paper in the shave den whilst trying to get things to move.
Is now late in the day (8A.M) have a beer to steady the hands,go pee.
Turn some wood, have another beer,go pee
at about 10 AM, is time for my nap,get up, go pee, go to the post office.

Work out, schmerk out. There is an age (mine) where no work in hell will give you your six-pack back. I've settled for early rising, a lot of peeing (thanks, pixelfixed for reminding me that that's what we "old" people think of first each day). The paper, the coffee, the coffee, the coffee and the peeeeiiinnngggg. A brisk 16 block walk (with a stop for more coffee so I can do more peeing when I get home). Then sort out the day, medicate my survivor cat, organize bouts of housecleaning and creative work, pee, lunch, pee, nap, pee, read entries like this in SRP, pee and then have a good stiff Vodka Gibson and get ready for the next day by peeing before bedtime. Pixel, your birthday is a few days after mine. We need to start a Cappi Club of Capricorn str8 shavers.

Working forearms with tobacco pipe to mouth, too many reps to count. Coffee cup to mouth, opposite hand, too many reps to count. At around this time, 5 days per week, I will ride my Schwinn Paramount a few miles vigorously. Upon coming home I do some stretching exercises and may on alternate days do military presses with an Olympic bar (45 lbs). Some curls and 'good mornings'. (great exercise for spinal erectors) Eventually I hope to get back into a more intense workout regimen. Thanks for posting this Carl.
