    Saturday I climbed what I would call a hillbilly hill in SW Wi looking for mushrooms.

    300' or so vertical and what you might call easy scrambling but slow and by the time I got to the top I was huffing.

    I should do more of this to get in shape.

    The top is a good place to set a deer stand because when they get to the top they stop for a minute to catch their breath also.

    Although it doesn't take the energy I think in some ways coming down is more work or concentration than going up.

    I only saw one other climber on the rock today. He was rappelling off of the summit block as I was starting this final pitch. Pretty sure that he never saw me.

    East Face South Side>Variation 1 >finger crack. Finally able to tie these together in an un roped accent. The best line on the East face IMO.
