Rock climbing on easy routes without gear.

I've never thought of defining it, but in my mind the easy part is ambiguous but implied. Technically '3rd class' means that you are climbing without gear where an inexperienced person would feel uncomfortable without a rope, but that definition has morphed into meaning free soloing. So someone might 3rd class a very difficult route, but no one would say that they scrambled it.

Had an unbelievable day in that I had the whole rock all to myself up and down with a literal 30 minutes on the summit. The only other climbers that I saw all day were clear over on the First Flatiron. Normally one would see 6-12 climbers on the route. I felt guilty leaving the summit since it is so uncommon to be alone on it, but there is 500' of down climbing to get off the rock and I didn't want to get stiff.
