    It is not bad at all. If you do not use sand paper use time... in 30 years use of this strop will smooth out all leather cuts. :-)

    They don't call me The Slasher for nothing! Three years into straight razor shaving I've pretty much gotten the shaving and honing by the throat but still struggling with cutting the strop. Don't spend too much for a strop until you become proficient.

    Stropping for 2 weeks... now it must be sharp!
    I've been quite lucky with my strops, no major nicks but have had a fancy spine scratch my old English horse hide, grrr!

    Agree with the loose scales comment. I have a Robert Williams chopper that always tried to get away from me until I tightened the scales.
