Thanked: 1Micro fiber cloth for stropping (in UK)
I'd like to give the micro fiber cloth a go.
Saw some amazing results achieved with it on youtube.
Is there anywhere in the UK or Europe where I can purchase it?
I see many micro fiber cleaning cloths on ebay but I'm not sure if these will work?
Something like this perhaps:
Clean It - Ultra Micro Fibre Glass Cloth - Brand New from UK Seller! | eBay
Thanks

Well I've been an avid auto detailer for many years and microfiber towels are used extensively. I use them for cleaning my SR's when honing. My guess is anything is possible for stropping but I have my doubts. Denim is pretty common but IMO a smooth English leather will align the blade and polish it up just fine.

Thanked: 1My bad, it's actually called nano not microfiber, but I think it's similar.

I watched the video. It appears that it is all about the CBN spray, not the fabric it is applied to.
The easy road is rarely rewarding.

Thanked: 3215Wrong kind of micro fiber, the Nano cloth is a micro fiber weave.
You can purchase Nano Cloth from Ken Schwartz as well as CBN, that Dr. Matt talks about in the video.
And it is every bit as good as he claims, when applied to a finished edge.
If you are using a spray, try some craft felt, it comes with an adhesive backing that can be cut and applied to a hard surface, then sprayed with Chrome Oxide, Diamond or CBN.
A 12 X9 in piece sell for a couple of dollars and will get you 3 strops.
