Thanked: 2balsa wood stropping
Hey guys...when refreshing on the balsa wood what is the progression chromox to Ironox? also, is it the stropping motion or the honing motion, Ie, is it spine lead, drag the edge or the other way?
thanks!

prgression will depend on the actual paste grits
but usually Chrox is coarser then to Ferrox (Ironox)
definately a stropping motion with spine leading
also dont go heavy with the stroke preasure or count it does work well
if a true refresh maybe look at lots of 10-20max strokes on each & test then repeat if required
I use 0.3 micron Chrox followed by 0.1 micron Ferrox and do 20 light strokes on each after my 12k but if you have a 0.5 or coarser paste you will want to go less back to 10 maybeSaved,
to shave another day.
