    Ace,

When you clean your razor on the microfiber towel sprayed with Windex, do you see the gunk? Seriously here. Your process sounds like something that I want to try too.

I clean my razor by "stropping" it a few times on a microfiber towel sprayed with Windex. That cleans the blade without depositing anything on the strop. I'm not against treating my strop, and use lather when I do, but I'm not going to treat it with stuff I'm trying to remove from my razor.

Before shaving of course you must strop razor (i do 10 on linen and 30/40 on leather)
