How should I condition my 4 sided paddle. I have strop conditoner and have never conditioned a strop. There are water marks on the 3.0 surface.

    Matt,
I think the strop conditioner or dressing will have a negative effect on it. Being oily it will counteract the abrasive and reduce it effectiveness, that is if it does not simply remove the abrasive alltogether while applying it.

It's better to simply apply new abrasive over the old. If your water contact removed some abrasive already you can move the remaiing abrasive around a little by wetting your finger and rubbing the abrasive a bit. I have not tried this myself but I think Lynn mentioned it to me.

Chances are that water just disturbed the abrasive a bit. If it's still performing well, wait until it needs to be re-pasted before conditioning it after the cleaning.
