    Default Help with new strop

I received my new Glen Flanagan strop from the srp giveaway (thank you all)
And its hard as nails is this the way it should be or what do I need to do to break it in.
I have tried rubbing in a small amount of olive oil and rubbing with my hand and rolling glass on it but its like trying to soften concrete.

    edit:
By the way this is a beautiful strop, very well put together, that I am delighted to have won.

    Paul,
I'm sure Glen will drop in as soon a s he gets a chance. I would suggest, just as with mine. Try it a little first....it may work just fine. I know my latigo will soften after just a few used and the draw will increase. Neat's Foot oil will greatly hasten this process but if you go overboard you may have too much draw.

Lets see what Glen may have to say but for now, go slow and don't try to do too much to it.
