It will probably un-compress with the humidity in the air in a couple of weeks.
Yea, the big question is how did that happen, and don’t do that again.

Rubbing the strop with your palm once a day might help homogenize the color and make the scrape less noticeable. If you saw my daily driver you'd think it looked like the Alaska highway, 23" of bad road .........
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 3215Yes, you can get surprisingly good edges from a scared up strop.
The razor rides on just the tops as long as any damage does not catch the edge.
Strop with lite pressure.
Wiping with a damp paper towel will add enough moisture to swell it out, but I would not worry about it.
Go slow, keep the spine on the strop at all times, use lite pressure and stop before you flip.
