Thread: Strops

Remember that the strop is the like the razor you'll use it every time you use your razor. The strop needs to be quality. I would suggest to buy the best you can and not as cheap as you can. you can do harm with the wrong or inferred strop. I would listen to the advise given by the mentors and senior members here. They learn about such matters long ago and are willing to pass this knowledge along to us. Just my opinion.

I brought a hirayli strop and razor as a starter kit. Razor is worthless and the only part of the strop I use is the clip which is on a homemade strop. For the price I'm sure that there are far better options

if your still looking for a strop Neil at strop-shop.co.uk has two starter models in, 1 cowhide and 1 english bridal. Both would be ideal and in the same price range as the one in the OP.
