Vegan Friendly Strops?
I know a long while back a few guys had asked about a non-leather hanging strop. I can't seem to find the thread now and was wondering where that one wound up.
I have been experiementing with a synthetic that is working quite well and beats even latigo on it's draw. Anyone welse come up with a usable material?

Maybe a large, semi moist block of Tofu would provide sufficient draw

How many vegans do you think actually shave with straight razors?

remember that stuff they were using as a shoe leather substitute a few years back? I think it was named Corfram or something like that. It was real popular in military circles because it always looked well shined. How about that?

Thanked: 1587Are fungus vegan friendly? I'm guessing you've seen the "shroom strops" thread? (Actually, I'm not sure whether this is a serious option or not - although one potential benefit is that if you cut up the strop you could always just use it in a stir-fry.)
