Thanked: 11Chromium Oxide: sourced
Some time back, someone posted wanting a source for chromium Oxide (.5 micron). Maggard has the paste pretty reasonably @ about $6.00/ 20 g (with not too exorbitant shipping). I have seen it elsewhere for 32/ounce.
Now, the hunt for a inexpensive paddle strop..

Have been playing with some 3/8" thick compressed polyester pin board material for a felt type paddle stop using my Chrox & Ferrox with some good results
Better than the balsa I think
We get it from Bunning hardware stores for about $25 for a 2'x3' sheet here in Aus not sure for your side of the pond were to get it
Will be doing a post on the weekend about it when I get some photos to go with itSaved,
to shave another day.
