    Default TI Paddle Strop Leather

Hey guys, I just got a small TI box strop and was surprised to see how smooth finish the leather was. Does anyone here have any of the wider paddles and know if they use the same leather.

I do like the feel and even though it seem to have no drag it works nicely. I have similar leather but was worried it would fel too smooth for the masses.

Your thoughts on this type of leather. I can see it as a super smooth finishing strop myself.

Sounds like an interesting piece, Tony. You uh.... thinking about maybe using a similar leather for strops there? Cuz... uh.... well that would be kind of cool I think. Just give it a little time eh. I am still saving for one of your horse hide strops. They sound absolutely amazing. But yeah, once I have one of those, and maybe a #1 Honey Brown, then uh, I could see getting an ultra smooth finisher. I do enjoy stropping so. Very Zen. I like to chant while stropping, though I get some weird looks from it.... I'm going to go strop now.

I have a TI 3" paddle with rough and smooth sides, the rough side being pasted with the TI paste. I liked it, it seemed to work out for me when I was starting and I never really had any problems with it. Having said that, I started using one of Tony's honey brown #1 strops and a pasted bench hone, and I prefer them by a great degree. Just my opinion.
