Default New or Old question ?

How long does stropping last. If you strop a razor good and put it in the box or sleeve and pack in your luggage how long should it stay good. The reason I'm asking is I will leave on the 13 Oct. on a trip to Daytona FL. Bike week. I will ride there I don't trailer the bike I ride not too far only about 800 miles. I pack what I need in a couple of small bags and strap to the bike. I leave the bags empty for my leathers. it's usually cold on half the trip there and half the trip back. I will most likely shave once while I'm gone. I keep a stash so I trim around the corners of the mouth, so should I waste space and put a strop in or not. What do ya think.

If you only shave once while there, I wouldn't think you would need a strop. I'll bet you could use your jeans on your thigh if need be though.
Smarter than I look or, not as dumb as I look. Whichever you prefer.

Once should be enough for your strop.
    But,,,
You're gonna need a bottle of Pinaud in those saddle bags, for those biker women in Daytona.

My guess is you have plenty of "extra" razors laying about, bring 2 or 3 they take up less room than a strop.

last time I was there it was so hot Pinaud or any after shave would be pointless but old spice deodorant extra strength would have been nice.

I've got more razors but the one I decided to carry is the henckel I just got off the bay. I haven't had time to become attached to it if something happens and it walks off.

When you send a razor out for a professional hone, do you strop it before your first use? We are all told not to; it was stropped after honing by the 'meister. If you do a good job in your den before you leave, haven't you done what the professional did? It will be fine. For at least two shaves...

Roger I dońt bring a strop with me on my rides , if I,m gone more than a couple days I just bring my feather or an extra razor, as Dave said I've used my jeans to clean between shaves , I do tend to go 2 days on bike trips , if I was going to Daytona that would be my feather, and a container of blades , cause that's always been 6-8 days for me, not going this year , be safe Tc

That sounds about right,,,,,, so sprinkle a little Pinaud on the bike, that will attract them.
