Default I think I ruined my felt strop with diamond spray

I got a brand new felt strop along with a new bottle of 0.25 diamond spray and I decided to just to spray the felt strop with a couple of passes, however the first 2 sprays sprayed out dense drops of the diamond compound. I now have big blobs of concentrated diamond compound on some areas of the strop. Is the strop ruined? Is there a way to remedy this situation? or am I over reacting and this won't even have an effect on the razor when I strop it? I Just figured that the razor will be unevenly cut at the point where it goes through these blobs of diamond spray.

Welcome to SRP. I can only visualize this, but I think, without having it in front of me, I'd take a kitchen knife and strop it to spread the denser areas out as much as possible, maybe knock some of it off. Maybe even put it on a table top and try to spread the heavier areas around with the spine of a butter knife or something similar. Probably not ruined, but might need to be worked out a bit before it is ready for razors.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanks, here's a picture to give you a better idea of what I'm talking about it. It's 3 inches wide.

My diamond spray does the same thing and I have seen droplets very similar on my felt strop.(and worse) I have never had an issue I think you will be just fine!

If you are still worried follow Jimmy's advise and I am sure you have nothing to worry about.

In fact you may still need to add more ...just my opinion...I sprayed alot more then two times.
    Go find an adventure.....

I have never used a felt strop but use diamond paste on my canvas strop. Can you spread it with the spine of the razor like you do with paste?

I have done the same thing. I had an old worn soft bristled brush that I retired from buffing shoes. I just brushed the felt lightly.

Don't use a hard bristled brush or a lot of pressure it can tear and gouge the felt. Worked a charm
