such a thing as overstropping??
It appears to me that the strop ( if stropped properly of course) wouldnt damage the edge...if done gently no matter how many passes you did you will end up getting that perfect aligned edge no matter what..am i wrong???

Remember the Grand Canyon was formed by running water. For all practical purposes you're right but if you decided to do a few thousand passes you would most certainly become fatigued and your stropping would suffer and the edge would suffer too and then you could send the razor to X for a shave!

Thanked: 9Practically speaking, I doubt one can maintain good stropping for very long. I know I can't because my strop hangs from above shoulder level and it's just not too comfortable after say 100 laps.
So this, combined with higher potential for a bad move just due to the sheer numbers, lead me to believe that you can actually harm the edge. Or at least have it worse than what it would have been with fewer laps. I think someone even said that unless he pays attention to stropping, he is likely to destroy the nice effects of Chromium and get a worse edge in the end.
I'd say the best thing is to experiment for yourself. You might be a stropping monster, who only improves with more laps
Tell us how it works out for you
Cheers
