Nobody noticed X's Haiku on the X was actually a Haiku!?

No need for apologies, I was just being a bit sarcastic...
cheers,
Nenad
Hey, guys, don't apologize. I just thought I was getting a hard time for asking a stupid question. The poetry was actually pretty clever. Cheers :D

Zee, it's like ziss.
Typically, the x-pattern is for a stone or strop that is narrower than the razor blade ... so in order to get it all covered, you slide it across in an X pattern whch results in roughly equal coverage across the blade. And it also results in a more even wear on the stone, FWIW.

Zed it all before.
Jim - you are too kind. Nenad and Steve are right. I'm sorry. Sometimes (all the time...?) I can get a bit carried away (read "smart ass"). It wasn't my intention to give you a hard time. It's a good question actually, and not stupid in the least. I hope that some of the info. in the thread I posted previously is helpful.
James.
