For you Do-It-Yourselfers:
I picked up a 60" long 3" wide cowhide leather strap from Tandy Leather along with 2 x-large D ring handles at both ends and put them together with Chicago screws to make what seems to me a pretty passable strop.

What surprised me was to find out that the razor strops really well on the split leather side (as well as on the finished leather side) .

The investment yields 2 strops for $30. Anybody else tried this route?
