Nice endorsement! Congrats. Did the shave feel that much smoother than your normal experience?

maybe it was just the excitement of using a quality hanging strop for the first time but it sure seemed that way.

I have noticed a large indentation on the strop after day one. It is not a nick. I can feel the razor pass over it as I strop and I am not sure how the hell it got there. It must have been there when I used it the first time. It probably does not mean anything but I am not sure.

    Matt,

I have a 3 inch Red Latigo hanging from TM and it is extraordinary. Also, it had a slight "dip" or indentation in the leather as well. I tend to rub down my strop with my hand 2 to 3 times per day and I found that really stretching the strop taught and rubbing the area vigorously smoothes it out.

    OK, bring on the jokes...

    Default Scar

It looks more like a scar than an indentation. Rubbing doesn't remove it. There is also some lines that look like streaks at some parts of the leather. Anyone know what these could be?? I know I have not nicked the strop.

    Matt,
Leather is a natural material with many small variations. They are usually called "range marks" in the trade and are bruises, healed scars, natural discoloration, etc.... in the leather. I go over these very carefully and strop with each before shipping to be certian they are not felt when in use.

The honey brown tends to show range marks the most, my newest Latigo the least. The Horsehide will have the most color variation but a surface finish as good or better than the Latigo.

As always with my products, if unhappy a simple PM or call is all that is needed, not that it happens very often.

I figured it was something like that. Sorry Tony about not sending you a pm first. I was just a little anxious to get an answer. I really like the strop by the way.
