    Default What Type of Leather?

    hey guys... i have a leather worker buddy close by and i was thinking of having him make me a strop. what type of leather should i look for?

    I made a couple of very usable strops out of 3" oak tanned cowhide straps and extra large d-rings for handles. Both the smooth and unfinished sides strop great.
