I was wonder when should I use my canvass strop and when to put paste on it? I have a 3 week old Dovo 6/8 Bismark .

Use the linen before the leather and after shaving do the same to clean the blade. As to paste if it's your only strop I wouldn't put any on it, paste are not mandatory and some don't use them. Tc

Like TC said if its you only strop don't paste it. Do your strop a favor and just get a length of wood about the size of a strop but can be smaller and cut up some old jeans and glue it down on the wood, trim the hanging parts off when the glue dries and just paste that. make sure you roll out the wrinkles.
