Don't get me wrong I do have, and use, other styles and materials of strops. I just have the love of this one's all around good performance.Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

Thanked: 4830My horse belly and hemp strop by DryGulch is my workhorse, and as the most frequently chosen it should be the one I guess. I do also have a Pegasus strop that is very nice.

Thanked: 3228I have a Neil Miller shell Cordovan/English linen strop that I love dearly. Since they are no longer made, Neil having passed away, I'd look for another shell Cordovan/English linen strop from another maker.

Only one strop??? No!!!!!!
If forced to choose just one, it would have to be my latigo bench strop. It's not the prettiest, but I love its draw. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski

Thanked: 636Probably the old Hoffritz strop I have had and used for over 30 years. It was not pristine when I got it and it is pretty beat now. But still does a great job.

me, its my new old shell from that old Japanese strop maker, circa during WW 2 I leave my Neil Miller up and covered for special occasions, and my Kanayam gets its share of the work,, its my go to. but the question was if you only had one,, well that old shell is the one, more character than should be allowed, and even has the thumb spot worn dark and slick from that old amn stropping a few thousands of times, plus its one of the finer draws ive ever had Tc

I only have three strops.
But...
If I had to choose one it would definitely be my Tony Miller Heirloom Fast Bridle strop.
It has been strop of choice for years.
