Yep, even when you are careful it happens and I hate scratching a beautiful strop when it's completely unnecessary.
If I have to be that careful and slow and uber taught it sort of takes the fun out of it.
Muting it ever so slightly will not be visible to the naked eye and you can strop it like everything else.

It's possible you have a burr on the offending side or it's a fault in your stropping. Without looking at the edge under magnification it's all guessing.

Talking about stropping both sides of a Kamisori.

Many years ago on this site we had this long running discussion as to whether or not a Kamisori was a one sided razor and being either a right handed or a left handed razor.

Glen, Oz do you remember the conclusion to that discussion.

With traditional honing (7:1) they do work best using ONLY the Backside (Hump) touching the face, however the varied ratio honing makes it easier to use it wrongsided
    7:1 - 5:1 -3:1 - 1:1

I admittedly use it in two spots wrong sided, ie: Your Razor, Your Hones, Your face

Also to be sure the more shaving you do on your face Rightsided the more comfortable the shave, That is my story and I am sticking to it

Ditto on what Glen said. I always used both sides as required but mostly used the hump side (technical term ) & I always stropped both sides. Just seems wrong not to.

Yea, that what I thought. I always used the "right" side and being left handed learning the Kamisori was a real challenge. Certain areas really require use of the other side unless you be an octopus.

I taught myself to wind fishing reels left handed as I'm right handed but that was a tad less risky than using a kamisori

Happened to me many years ago off Dalmeny. My mates had never laughed so hard
