    You are lifting/dropping the handle as you are ending your stropping stroke, it is very noticeable (Scratches) when stropping a Kamisori
    Many people do it when stropping in general, but the size of the blade hides it with a longer blade

    A lift will cause a tip scratch a drop will cause a heel scratch
