Post Old Magazine article on Stropping

Somewhere on here is an old magazine article from the early 1900's showing the effects of Shaving and Stropping does anyone have a link to either the Article or the Thread ???

It was from a magazine like "Popular Mechanics"

    TIA

I didn’t find the article you referred to Glen, but your question sent me on a Google search that turned up this article which is the most comprehensive write up on stropping I have seen.

I seem to remember the conversation we had around that post.

We were discussing whether stropping really "sharpened" the razor or whether a razors edge developed tiny fins almost like the teeth on a saw and the stropping action helped either realign them or remove them completely.

That article answered the question very nicely.
