    Default NEW TYPE STROPPING PASTE??

    Hi everyone.

    I have a strange question:
has someone tryed to use CERIUM OXIDE for straight razor stropping?
I choose to apply this stuff on my self buided hanging strop.
I know its the standard abrasive for people building astronomy mirror telescope.
I ask to the seller what dimension have the grain of this material but they dont know much about it.
The first razor i put on the strop with cerium oxide come out not bad,has someone informations or different opinions about this?

    thanks a lot !

I had mentioned that some time ago in a discussion. Cerium Oxide is hard stuff. Its usually used as a final final super polish in the lapidary trade. Its great for polishing up quartz.
