Thanked: 0Canadian Barber suppliers
hi guys, just wondering if any of you know of any suppliers here in canada of barber supplies, in particular, i am looking for a good strop. i currently have a dovo prima rindleder but find it too short. i'm new to all the wonders of straight razor shaving and have a model 10 dovo favourit. i ain't the deftest of people and find that in trying to strop i just get started and got to flip the blade and am having a deuce of a time.
anyway, apologies for the long windedness, just figure it would be easier to get stuff in canada as opposed to dealing with the evil customs gnomes and their insideous taxes !
thanx in advance

Hi Tinbirdrod.
While I don't think there are any Canadian suppliers, I would highly recommend just ordering from Tony Miller (www.thewellshavedgentleman.com) - he has what's pretty well agreed as the best strops going - excellent leather and craftsmanship that can't be beat. His shipping, from what I heard, is extremely reasonable as well. I've had stuff shipped from the States, and for some reason, they mostly leave you alone for shaving stuffs.
Good luck.

Welcome aboard. Even with shipping and customs, chances are you can get stuff from south of the border cheaper than what's locally available. Tony Miller makes strops that are better than anything we have here in Canada (or elsewhere in the world, for that matter) and the prices are dirt-cheap.

Thanked: 1Toronto Barber and Beauty Supply have some supplies. I bought an Illinois 127 strop there just yesterday (the Brampton location) not the cheapest, but I saved shipping and duty.
