    Exclamation D-Ring or Handle?

    I'm purchasing today...just need a little more push.

    I use both but prefer the D ring!

    Another vote for the D-ring. I find it the easiest to grasp and it tends to eliminate cupping of the strop.

    Sweet. I picked up a D-ring strop from TM last week and I'm pleased as can be. glad you found the push you needed to satisfy your Strop AD.

    I have one of TM's starter strops with the handle.
    I have noticed it can cause cupping of the
    strop if you're not careful. I've also seen strops
    with a handle detached from the strop
    itself with a D handle which I think would work
    pretty good. I like the idea of a traditional
    handle.

    I have the heirloom and cause it has the seperate handle there is no cupping. I like it that way

    Actually on my Artisans both the Dee ring and the rectangular ring holding the handle are the same width so either would eliminate cupping to the same amount. If cupping is a real concern a 2 1/2" would have les tendancy towards this..........as would not pulling quite so hard on the strop <g>.

    I think the Starter would be the only version where cupping could be an issue and again, only if pulling too hard.
