    Default Micron sandpaper or pasted strop?

    I want to get a wide strop but I know I will need a pasted strop eventually too. So I was just going to get Tony's daily / pasted paddle but then I remembered that sandpaper comes in very fine grits. Finer than my 8K norton? Is this idea worth looking into?

    Get the pasted strop, it'll be much easier to use. micron sandpaper is a trial to keep flat enough to get a good edge with, one tiny microscopic bump and you're back to the 4K.
