Thanked: 1HTT
I just discovered a new test, instead of the HHT, it is the HTT, Hanging Thumb test...ouch. Well, I hope the little slice of my thumb didnt mess up the edge much, after stropping my razor today, I attempted the HHT, and the hair was to close to my thumb...

Well, as long as it didn't turn into the
Dangling Thumb Test you should be ok.

Or the thumbless thumb test.

If the thumb offered any resistance then you need to go back to the hones!
If the thumb offered no resistance then shave test the blade and report back!

Thanked: 1The Thumb Offered No Resistance
Yet, it seems that now when I strop, small scratches are being made on the strop by some rough part of the blade, so I believe I have dinged the blade with my thumb, despite the fact that the thumb offered no resistance, damn, now I have to pay to get it honed again.

All of the above mentioned tests are less severe than the Hanging Testicles Test - not one that I have tried personally. But I hear that Lorena Bobbitt swears by it and one other one I can't recall......
