    Default How long should be....

    Hi guys,

    Im planing to do my own strop,i bought 3"x72" long of leather,i have to cut the length of the leather and do the wood handle by hand ect,ect...

    But my question is,how long should be the stroping area ? Not the overall length of the strop...18",20",25"...???

    You can get away with as little as 6 but I would recommend 10 to 17 inches!

    ^^ You are close cuz i was thinking in about 18" but i was not sure.

    Have you tried different strops? Copy the ones you like.

    I built one that is over two feet long and it's my favorite one.
