Thread: Yuck!

I was cleaning a vintage strop and behind the clasp there was quite a bit of short hairs, about 3 to 8 mm's in length, and some green and brownish stuff. How the heck a previous owner got hair under there boggles my mind

Probably came out of a barber's shop.

hmm maybe if the strop was hanging on the chair while the person was being clipped, but then again the clasp was tight enough to put marks into the leather.

Clasp is cleaned now though and ready to be attached to another piece of leather, just need to figure out if I want to use 2 side of leather or 1 leather and 1 canvas.
