    Default new strop ?

    just got a new Dovo strop today ,,
    do ineed to do anything to it ,, or just use it as it is .
    thought maybe some handcream in it to soften it up ,, but not sure .
    what is in those conditioners that they use ,, and do i need to bother ?

    Never used the Dovo strops. If they are anything like the excellent Illinois Razor Strop Co strops, it may need some breaking-in to get it up to speed.

    Nope, DOVO strops do not need breaking in, just use it. At most, rub your hand over the leather a few times a day, if you like, otherwise, do nothing. I'm sure you noticed how soft and pliable the leather was, that's how it should be. When the leather becomes a little stiff feeling, then apply a strop dressing as shown in Lynn's DVD
