Default Tony Miller and his 3" Artisan Latigo

When the postman arrived this morning he delivered what can only be described as a piece of functional art, a Tony Miller 3" Artisan Red Latigo Strop with handles! It also came with the practice strop that I ordered.
    The 3" Artisan:-
Boy oh boy, the quality of this thing is AWESOME, as is the build!.
It kind of left me wondering whether Tony wants repeat orders from his customers? After all, this thing looks like it could do faithfull service for a lifetime and more.
    The Practice Strop:-
Well being new to str8s I intend to cut my teeth on this one before going anywhere near the Artisan. Once mastered I will use it as a travel strop, and a very serviceable travel strop it should prove to be.
    The Man Himself:-
Tony can only be described as a modern day gentleman. His level of service was, quite litterally, second to none. He is extremely helpfull, efficient, knowledgable, polite and courtious.
I live in County Durham, United Kingdom and would unreservedly recommend anyone living here to do business with him.
My little setup cost me around £58 including delivery, which I think was still very competative.
Go on guys give him a go, you definately won't be disapointed.
A Huge THANK YOU Tony for your excellent work and help.
    Kevin.

Tony's strops are fantastic. I hope he doesn't mind repeat business...I started with a travel/starter strop, then bought a latigo/linen strop and finally a 4 sided paddle strop. Now I'm fighting off the urge to order a 3" horsehide latigo as it seems a little excessive since I already have the latigo/linen strop. We'll see what happens.

I used the starter strop even after I bought the Latigo. Once I had gone for a couple weeks without nicking my starter I moved on to the Latigo and I have not had any nicks...knock on wood.

    Enjoy!

I've seen this said about Tony every single time without exception since I joined back in September - I finally assembled the necessary funds, and took the plunge as well - and convinced a friend and my mother (a father's day gift for my dad) to join in!

I'm so excited I'm like a kid before Christmas!

The 3" is a must have, I was so impressed I held off using it till I could properly mount it to the wall. I love Tony's work.

I just ordered at 3" artisan from Vintage to keep the dovo special I also ordered in fine shape. Can't wait to strop! But I have a lot to learn while the kit makes its way here. I don't even know which stop to use first, canvas or leather.

Think I'll practice my technique with my shavette and a belt.
