    Default Proforma Strops

Any feedback on strops from Damon at Proforma Strops? I am a newby looking to purchase a first strop and these appear to be a pretty solid good look strop. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Sorry, I haven't used one but it looks like a very nice value, and Damon is a solid member.

I really like the one that I have -- natural tan. It has a good amount of draw to it too (just a little less than the latigo strops that I own). Plenty of stropping length on it too.

I got one last week. I like the length of mine too. And the fact that it has a handle. It is made of very nice leather.

I picked one up at the Minnesota gathering from Randy and did not use it today as I packed it for a traveler. it isn't too stiff and packs up nicely. I'm excited to use it on Tuesday. I think it is great to support other members and the sponsors and you know they would not sell anything that they would not use. I am curious if i should put any type of a dressing or oil on it. I think they are great starter or extra strops.

I thank you for the complements, I treated the the Strops I sent to randy It should not need any thing for at least six months then you might want to put a light coat of neatsfoot oil or rub some Fromm strop dressing on it.

Like the original poster, I am a complete newbie who really just needs a strop now to get started. After reading all of the good feedback about these strops, I just placed an order myself. Can't wait! Its also a nice feeling to order from someone on the boards (got my razor from a member too), and I know I am in good hands. Thanks Damon!

In case you need more feedback to know Damon's strops are good stuff, here's another guy.
Great stop, superb value. I have, unfortunately, put a few nicks in mine (stupid newb mistakes), so might "retire" it to use as a traveller and get a new one for bathroom use.
