Pasted strop and then unpasted strop?
Guys,
I have recently been using a pasted strop every once in a while to touch up the edge of my razors. I usually do this before shaving but certainly not every time I shave. Just when I feel the need, I will strop a few times on the pasted, wipe the blade free to prevent contamination, and then move on to my Tony Miller strop for my usual pre shave stokes on both the linen and leather sides. My questions is, is this overkill? Am I stropping too much? On the days when I use the pasted strop, should I be skipping the Tony Miller, or continue my current ritual of using one immediately after the other on days when the pasted strop is used? Thanks guys!
Kyle

Thanked: 267I personally only go to the pasted strop when I see the slightest drop in performance in the razor. Then I am all over it. I usually do it weekly. There are a lot out there that say weekly is to much. Good stropping will make it possible to go 2 weeks before a touch up.
Take Care,
Richard

I hit the plain strop after the paste exactly as you describe.
