Default how many laps on a paddle

I just bought a livi looms strop. I used to own a hanger but I sold it. I would do about 50 laps before shaving. How many laps do you think I need on a loom strop like the one I have?

I would try 60 and see how your razor shaves. Given the somewhat shorter length, you may need a few more passes but you can figure that out by experimenting.

Be careful; just because it is not a hanging strop does not mean that you might not roll the edge by using too much pressure. Keep the pressure light.

I would assume it was related to the length of the loom compared to the old strop. So if the loom is half the size, then double the number of strops.

If the loom is coated with a polishing paste, it is doing a different job to the normal stropping and maybe 10 laps will be plenty.
