Default Can I use this instead of CrO Paste?

H2606 Green - Extra Fine Buffing Compound

This is the green "Extra Fine" buffing compound from Grizzly.com. I think it's CrO, but it's a solid block. I would probably just rub it onto the back of my Tony Miller Apprentice strop, but I wanted to check first to make sure it's the right stuff.

Anybody have experience with this stuff?

I really can't help you but what you need to know is the grit size. if its around 50K it should be good.

I've used this before and worked great, now I use the paste form already mixed.
I would recommend not rubbing this on ,but breaking a small piece off ,crushing it with a hammer and mixing it with nestsfoot Oil or strop conditioner.then apply small dots to the strop with a Q tip,a little goes a long way.even then .don't strop with it too much,it will actually dull your blade.hope that helps.
