Thanked: 1refinishing dovo strop
I got a dovo two sided strop ,one side leather one side red paste.
Now after a yr. the red side is ragged and uneven. Has anyone refinished one of theses strops?
Thanks Al

yes, sometimes your stropping will cause the leather to wear a bit unevenly, and I think all of us have nicked a strop at some point or another.
I typically buff out any strop problems with a fine pumice stone

there are lots of places to get it, here is one:
Razor Strops, Hones, and Accessories
also, applying it is easy. everyone has their own way, but i like to put on rubber gloves, get a small amount on the palm of my hand, spread it around until it's thin on my hand, and then rub it on the strop. this helps keep it from getting to much in one place on the strop. others may have different ways of doing it.
