    Default Thinking Causes Damage

So i just got a Tony miller red strop and what is the first thing I do when I put the blade down?

I nick it. I then stropped and then nicked it two more times. Once I stopped thinking about stropping I was fine no nicks, and a nice sharp razor.

No more strops for you.....One year!!

I have done the same thing. I make a sample from a new leather or in a new design. Get out a razor to see how it feels, lay my eye down close to the plane of the strop to check the contact between razor and strop and inadvertantly slide the razor just a tad blade first and the result.... a BIG slice and I wasn't even stropping!! (plus I cannot use that one for the product photos either)
