    Default Stropping a large wedge

    Hey,

Do you guys use a modified stroke when stropping a large 7/8 razor? Do you put it at an angle as when honing those big wedge razors or simply like a 5/8 Dovo tortoise for example.

I have a 9/8 wedge, and do not adjust my stroke on the strop. I do have to remember that with all that weight, I need to control the raor a tad more on the strop. Almost the opposite of the "let the razor do the work" feeling I get on my face.

+1 a lot of difference between a 5/8 hollow and a meatchopper, with a chopper I slow down and pay more attention, with the hollow its 2nd nature.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain
