Thread: Need a new strop

I am in need of a new strop I have some specific qualities before I get one I want something with a width of 2.5 to 3.25 inches, hanging, D-ring, perferr horse hide or kangaroo. Also would like a pouch to carry strop in. I am a marine and the pouch would be used to protect the strop. I would like to keep the cost below $100 if anyone could help me I would be grateful

Check Tony Miller's site, or Straight Razor Designs. Both shops have very, very nice strops for the price you are targeting.

Tony Miller does a 2" travel strop The Well Shaved Gentleman The Heirloom Razor Strop Company : 2" Artisan "Companion" Travel Strop but he could probably make a 3" version if you ask.

Having said that, one of his travel box strops might suit your needs better (or maybe even as a backup?)

Most hanging strops won't take too kindly to being folded / rolled up constantly.
