Seth, thanks for that. I might do that...the wife and I are always tossing around talk of a visit to Tokyo.

I actually have a two pair of shell cordovan Allen Edmunds shoes. They are both wicked expensive ($525 a pair) The wing tips are without question the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I wear them regularly and I can say they were worth every last cent... Period.

They are also a pretty much lifetime shoe... I have had mine for ten years and they show no appreciable wear.

Just my opinion... and happy that I could add something in this forum as a complete newby...

When I got out of the service at 24, I got a pair of cordovan color shoes. My dad briefly told me about real cordovan shell but I never knew what he meant by shell. So, thanks. After all these years I finally know.
