So I got home from a trip today, and I decided to shave (duh)

So I took my razor out, and saw some leather on the edge, but ddin;t think anything of it. SO My little brother comes in, after an especially horrible and nick filled shave, and tells me he stropped my razor, then it clicked. I asked him how he did, and he said he did it edge leading (not trailing like your supposed to) and then I asked him how many times and he said 2 or 3 times... should I send it out to get it honed, or is it fine?

Have you tried stropping ( more than normal) and shaving with it? I would start there and depending on the results, I would either try to give it a touch up or just hone it.

Strop the hell out of it and see how it shaves. You could get lucky.

Oh, and tell your brother that if he ever touches your gear without your permission again you'll ruin him!

It sounds like you already shaved with it. If that is the case, probably should take it out to be honed or do it yourself.

Stropping some more might help.

I would hone it, but the finest I have is a 6k japenese water stone, so i can;t really do anything but get a worse shave

Mine wouldve been dead.

no... im too nice... and i try not to get mad with, even though he wrecked the edge for shaving, a deadly sharp razor in my hand .... but i got my parents to agree to making him pay to get it honed

I would send it out to be honed. If he pushed it, edge leading, over the leather, I don't think stropping will restore to original keenness. And your little brother has the opportunity to learn a lesson about respecting other people's gear. How did it left the strop?
