    Default Buy first strop?

    Just bought my first open razor! What is a good strop to buy such as brand, Dovo any good? what about this JEMICO 18" RUSSIAN LEATHER RAZOR STROP - eBay (item 390022502759 end time Mar-08-09 09:28:43 PDT)

    I would never buy a strop off e-bay except for a Vintage one as a collector...

    As Dward already said we have some great vendors here already, and the Illinois #827 Russian can be had all day long from Nashville Knife Shop for about $30 if you are after a Russian one....

    I agree with Jimmy Had !

    I recently purchased a strop from Tony Miller, and it made me regret the money I wasted on cheaper strops ( I previously bought a Jemico and an Illinois) if your going to stick with it, it makes better sense to get a quality strop to start with.
