    Default Stropping help

I have a wostenholm full wedgethat I'm having trouble stropping. I've slowed down my pace and I have a good amount of tention on the strop. The razor has a good edge (Lynn did the work). I just cant get a good consistant shave with it. Is there any special tricks to stropping a full wedge razor?

Well you are dealing with a great amount of friction and that amount of friction could "seize" the blade. Strop dressing may help. I have never used a full wedge, but strictly speaking from a physics stand point you are going to want to minimize the amount of friction, so some type of lube is really the only way to go. Perhaps Lynn can weigh in?

A paddle strop is probably better for a wedge. I would check on the bevel and see what kind of angle the bevel is in relation to the rest of the blade.

Chances are some slight strop deflection will work its way into the wedge's bevel geometry. I assume the entire bevel/edge isn't honed.
